Peru Initiations: A Journey of Remembering & Becoming
The Day Machu Picchu Remembered Me
My first visit to Machu Picchu was not what I expected.

I knew I was meant to go to Peru—but I didn’t know why.
At first, I believed the journey would take me deep into the Amazon, working with plant medicine, seeking transformation in the way many do when they feel the call to something greater. But as the trip began to unfold, it became clear that I was being guided somewhere else entirely.
Somewhere far more personal.
Machu Picchu.
To be honest, I initially saw it as more of a tourist destination than anything else. A beautiful, historical site—yes—but not the reason my soul had called me across the world.
I couldn’t have been more wrong.
The Arrival: When the Body Remembers
As our bus wound its way up the narrow mountain road, something began to shift inside me.
At first, it was subtle—a quiet tension building in my body. But as we climbed higher and the ancient grounds began to reveal themselves through the windows, that tension intensified into something undeniable.
And then it hit.
A wave of emotion so powerful, so overwhelming, that I couldn’t contain it.
Tears poured down my face, uncontrollably. Not gentle tears—but deep, guttural sobs rising from somewhere far beyond this lifetime. It wasn’t sadness in the way we typically understand it. It was grief—ancient, buried, and suddenly awakened.
Memories began to surface—not in clear images, but in knowing. In feeling. In recognition.
I wasn’t just arriving at Machu Picchu.
I was returning.
The Remembering: Fragments of the Soul
As I stepped onto the grounds, everything within me shifted.
This place was not unfamiliar. It was known. Loved. Lived.
And with each step I took, I could feel pieces of myself rising to meet me—fragments of my soul that had remained there, held within the energy of the land, bound to experiences my conscious mind could not fully access.
There was pain there.
But there was also something else.
Completion.
I began to understand, in a way that bypassed logic, that I wasn’t there to learn something new. I was there to reclaim something old.
To gather the parts of myself that had been left behind.

The Knowing: A New Trajectory
In dream state before this journey, I had been told that traveling to Peru would initiate a profound shift—that it would set me on an entirely new trajectory of soul completion.
That what once felt familiar would become unfamiliar.
And standing there, in the heart of Machu Picchu, I realized:
This was it.
This was the moment where everything began to realign.
The experience was difficult to put into words—far more powerful than anything that could ever be captured in a book or explained through language. It is something that can only truly be understood by those who have walked this path themselves—those who have felt the call to return, to remember, and to restore the lost fragments of their own soul.
The Magic of the Unknown
What makes this experience even more profound is that I had no idea it was coming.
There was no preparation for this kind of remembering. No expectation. No roadmap.
Just a call.
And a willingness to follow it.
There is something deeply sacred about stepping into an experience without knowing what it will ask of you—and allowing it to transform you anyway.
Machu Picchu was not just a destination.
It was a homecoming.
And it was only the beginning of a journey that would go on to reshape my entire soul’s timeline in ways I am still uncovering.
Some journeys don’t take you somewhere new.
They bring you back to who you’ve always been.
Have you had an unexpected journey to a part of your past?
